Shony

April 20, 2008

When I was about 6 or 7 years old I stretched a nylon fishing string between two nails on a plank of wood, drew some lines on the wood with a pencil to mark some notes based on my natural hearing, and then played all kind of tunes by plucking that one string and playing my thing like a guitar.

Music has been a sweet part of my life from as far back as I can remember, it was just in me naturally and making music always came easy to me with little or no guidance at all. As I grew up and matured, so did my music and my curiosity for its wonders and structure, and so my musical journey took me from playing endless hours at home to playing on the stage and in front of TV cameras, to some class time in the academy of music, across oceans and lands and through countless hours of recording studio time, meeting along the way inspiring musicians and music lovers.

This blog presents some of the music that I created over the years. I don’t think that any year in my life since I first picked up the guitar around 16 has passed without me writing some new original music. Each page listed on the right hand side here is dedicated to one song.

Here is one song that allowed me to combine poetry and music called Love is not far.  Click the arrow to listen and volume lines to adjust the volume.  The comments section below is open for feedback.
